Beautiful Butterflies, Series 5 – June 4th

Today’s butterfly is the Great Spangled Fritillary. I learned that its called spangled because of the white spots on the outside of the wings.

Quite beautiful really. It was hidden in the leaves of a bush so I got some shots of the sides of its wings. You can really see the spangles in the next picture.

This last one was so nice to just sit there and let me photograph it.

Have a blessed day!
