Somebody’s Sleepy – September 28th

Somebody is a little sleepy today! She was very unhappy that I took her photo, oh well, I did it anyway…

Have a blessed day!

Weekly Photo Challenge – Saturated

This weeks Weekly Photo Challenge is Saturated. When I think of that I think of very bright bold colors. So here are a couple of Saturated shots.

You can find more in for about the photo challenges at The Daily Post.

So Close – September 27th

I’m so excited, in a few shot days I will be in Minnesota for a week. Also, some of my relatives from Chicago arrive today for a short trip, and the weather is beautiful. So all in all it looks like its going to be a great weekend! I also found a recipe for making your own pumpkin purée, that’s right I’m that kind of crazy, making my own pumpkin purée for pies and such. But if that’s wrong I don’t want to be right!

Have a blessed day!

The Last Word Of A Bluebird – September 26th

The Last Word Of A Blackbird by Robert Frost

As I went out a Crow
In a low voice said ‘Oh,
I was looking for you.
How do you do?
I just came to tell you
To tell Lesley (will you?)
That her little Bluebird
Wanted me to bring word
That the north wind last night
That made the stars bright
And made ice on the trough
Almost made him cough
His tail feathers off.
He just had to fly!
But he sent her Good-by,
And said to be good,
And wear her red hood,
And look for skunk tracks
In the snow with an ax-
And do everything!
And perhaps in the spring
He would come back and sing.’

Wednesday – September 25th

The cute Hairstreak Butterfly, just in case you were wondering!
I love every time I get to snap a shot of a butterfly. I love all the different colors and patterns. The sound of them as they flutter by your head. Or in my case land on your feet!
Counting down the days until I go to Minnesota, 5 more. Getting excited! Which reminds me I should probably start packing…

Have a blessed day!

Sunny Tuesday – September 24th

What a beautiful morning it is here in southwest Missouri! A tinge of coolness in the air, the leaves are starting to change. Bright reds are the first that I am noticing on my bike rides. It makes me think I need to make a pumpkin pie this weekend, or maybe pumpkin bread. Wherever you are, and if its fall I hope you are enjoying, I also hope you are enjoying it if its spring too!

Have a blessed day!

Weekly Photo Challenge – From Lines to Patterns

This weeks Weekly Photo Challenge is From Lines to Patterns.

You can find the challenge at The Daily Post.

I thought and thought about what I wanted to do and then Friday evening was given my subject.

This sunset was amazing, the colors looked like strokes of a paint brush against the sky. It was spectacular!

It brought a huge smile to my face because I love colorful sunrises and sunsets. I just stood out there and watched the light fade to darkness until all the colors had faded. What a beautiful way to end the summer here in Missouri.

Have a blessed day!
