A Walk in the River – June 10th

Sometimes on hot summer weekends you just need to go stand in the river and let the cold water cool you down. It refreshes the soul. And stand in a shady spot and listen to the water and the wind and the wildlife and just enjoy the quiet.

Have a blessed day!

Summer is Here – June 9th

It’s summer here in the Ozarks, hot, sticky summer. But I am thankful for the warm weather and for the many waterways in the Ozarks. It gives you time to enjoy and try new things. Bring on the Kayaks!

Have a blessed day!

PS: it’s very, very green here right now. I think it’s from all the rain we had.

Desert Botanical Gardens – June 5th

The Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix is gorgeous and worth a visit. Also, I always thought Saguaro Cactus were like people height. Wrong! They are huge! In fact they can be 50 feet tall and it takes 50 to 70 years for them to develop those famous “arms”. They were so fascinating! Next time I have to visit the Sororan Desert National Monument.

Have a blessed day!

PS: They also have a cactus called a Cholla that will jump out and bite you if you get to close to it.

Grand Canyon – June 1st

The Grand Canyon is really as stunning as you would expect! It makes you feel so small and the colors and clouds and sunsets and sunrises are just spectacular! If you can visit, you should.

Have a blessed day!

PS. On a side note, I stayed at a lodge in the Grand Canyon National Park. They told me when I checked in that they were having issues with there cable not working and apologized. My thought was who goes to the Grand Canyon to watch TV!
