One Month – July 7th

One Month. One month sometimes seems like a long amount of time. But in my case one month is more of a short amount of time. And it’s scary and exciting all at the same time. The emotions overflow, and yet there are no tears, just sometimes fear. But if this year is supposed to be about adventure I can’t live in fear, I have to be brave. So one month until life changes, until a season closes and a new season opens…

Have a blessed day!

Grand Canyon – June 1st

The Grand Canyon is really as stunning as you would expect! It makes you feel so small and the colors and clouds and sunsets and sunrises are just spectacular! If you can visit, you should.

Have a blessed day!

PS. On a side note, I stayed at a lodge in the Grand Canyon National Park. They told me when I checked in that they were having issues with there cable not working and apologized. My thought was who goes to the Grand Canyon to watch TV!

Pictures of Fall – October 31st

Sometimes you just need to walk around among nature. It is probably the most peaceful place to be for me. It calms me and I can see the creator in nature. It’s beautiful…

I spend a lot of time enjoying nature. Whether warm or cold you sometimes just want to be outside. To feel a warm breeze on your face is heavenly after a cold winter. To see the beautiful designs of snowflakes, the freshness of new flowers that are in full bloom, the awesome display of colors at sunset. It’s just amazing sometimes.

So after a month off, and a very fun trip to Chicago, I’m back! I have so many images to share with all of you! I am refreshed and revived and ready to go again.

PS: This image is from a couple weeks before I went to Chicago, but I just think it’s so beautiful I had to share. The lovely Chicago photos will start later today!

Sunset – July 15th

Had to share this picture because sometimes a girl just want to feel the cool breeze on here face, hear the sound of a horse whinny in the distance, the cries of a hawk looking for dinner, and see fireflies blink in some kind of language only they understand. I breathed in deeply yesterday, and it filled up my soul with joy, and even though that soul still has longing for so much more, I breathed in deeply the day yesterday and I am better for it. I hope you all breathe in deeply the day!

Have a blessed day!

It’s Paying Off – July 2nd

20140702-082401-30241193.jpg

So as I alluded to yesterday, something very exciting has happened in the last month. Twice this month I have been approached about using my photography on two separate websites! And while this is small to most people this is huge to me. I am not a professional photography, I work as a accountant. So it’s been a blessing to watch my little hobby grow and see my work get out there. The latest place you can see my work is on a blog called Love Springfield, you can see it here. My photo and a couple of my words are titled The Water Rush.
So as my little hobby starts to grow and be seen I will share about it here. Interesting how life works, not what I expected, but I will enjoy the ride.

Have a blessed day!

By the way, the photo above is the one that was used. It was taken at the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden here in my city.

It Almost Doesn’t Look Real – May 5th

20140505-091504.jpg

I took a late afternoon walk yesterday out at Lake Springfield, and I was struck by how green everything is right now. It almost doesn’t look real. It was so green and bright that it was almost blinding. But I was struck by how the sun made everything glow, this beautiful tall grass that kind of waves like the ocean. A sea of green.

Have a blessed day!
