Enough of Winter Already – March 5th

So I’ve had enough of this winter white stuff already. So here are some photos from last Spring to remind me and You that Spring is coming along soon!

You’re welcome!

More Blooming – May 13th

This stunner was among all the Iris’ that are blooming at our local botanical garden. And actually everywhere. There are times when it looks like you are driving through gardens because the sides of the road are so packed with flowers. It is quite stunning!

Have a blessed day!

Weekly Photo Challenge – Spring

This weeks Weekly Photo Challenge is Spring!!! I am so excited about this because to me Spring means flowers, blue skies and time outside.

You can find more information or post an entry for this weeks challenge at The Daily Post.

Sorry, I went a little crazy with the photos, but I have taken so many recently.

Have a blessed day!

This Sunset Brought…. – April 1st

This sunset brought to you by spring in Missouri. It was stunning, just stunning. I think my neighbors thought I was crazy standing outside snapping away. But I don’t care. They are the ones who missed out, they were looking at me instead of the amazing sunset. So this is for all of you, a little present from Southwest Missouri. Happy first day of April, and this is no joke!

Have a blessed day!

If you need some Spring… – March 31st

If you need some spring and some flowers we are willing to share. I think we have enough to go around. It’s not even April yet and things are starting to bloom like crazy around here. But trust me I am not complaining! I love it, we are going to have a string of days with 70 digress or higher and sunshine. It was so beautiful here yesterday that I pulled my bike out for the first ride of the season. And I was not the only one, the bike path was packed with bikes, walkers and runners enjoying a glorious day in the Ozarks. And the weather gave me the chance to yesterday pull out the #sorryChicago hashtag for all my lovely fiends who are still freezing. Poor things. Oh well, maybe it will be warm there in August…

Have a blessed day!

Oh Spring How I Love You! – March 26th

Just dreaming about gardens filled to the brim with flowers, butterflies and birds. I think everyone is after the winter we have experienced this year. My heart goes out to my friends in Chicago and points beyond as they have just been completely covered in snow and cold. My hope is as the snow melts away it will expose warmth and beauty and joy. I pray your Spring and Summer will be awesome! And I look forward to hearing about yours and sharing mine with you!

By the way, this photo is taken in one of my favorite places, my local botanical gardens. This place is covered by and iron arch and climbing roses and it is beautiful.

Have a blessed day!

Daffodil Days – March 24th

For those of you that are still having cold weather and snow, these are for you. A small gift to you from Southwest Missouri. I am hoping for all of you the snow and cold is over soon. I spoke to a friend in Chicago last night and they said they were expecting more snow today or tomorrow and I just feel so bad for them. So here is a little bit of Spring from my corner of the world to your corner, wherever that may be. If you want to shout out where you are that would be great. I love hearing about new places!

Have a blessed day!

Happy 1st Day of Spring – March 20th

It’s the First Day of Spring!!! Can I get an Amen! I think this calls for a party, with flowers, food and some good iced tea.

By the way, this photo is taken in my favorite place at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. You just sit in this place and all you can hear are birds, bees and the fountain. It’s glorious! It is on my list of places to visit while I am there this summer for a visit. This place and so many others. Chicago is one of my favorite places, and holds a very special place in my heart.

My other favorite places is going and walking the neighborhood of Wicker Park and Bucktown, this is where my Mom and Dad grew up. It’s where they went to school, where they had community, it’s where they met. A couple years ago I actually got to go into the apartment where my Mom grew up because it was for sale. Maybe this year I will sit on those steps with my Mom and maybe my Grandpa and have a photo taken. Three generations all together in the place where it all started…

Have a very blessed day wherever you are, filled with warmth and joy and bright sunshine. Oh, and flowers too! 🌸🌷🌻🌺
