A Walk in the River – June 10th

Sometimes on hot summer weekends you just need to go stand in the river and let the cold water cool you down. It refreshes the soul. And stand in a shady spot and listen to the water and the wind and the wildlife and just enjoy the quiet.

Have a blessed day!

Summer is Here – June 9th

It’s summer here in the Ozarks, hot, sticky summer. But I am thankful for the warm weather and for the many waterways in the Ozarks. It gives you time to enjoy and try new things. Bring on the Kayaks!

Have a blessed day!

PS: it’s very, very green here right now. I think it’s from all the rain we had.

Honeysuckle Blossoms – May 30th

We had a afternoon rain storm and so I went for a walk after the rain an snapped some photos. I particularly love this shot because how well you can see the waterdrops. Also I love seeing Honeysuckle blossoms, it’s the sure sign that summer has arrived. And the blossoms have this very sweet smell.

Have a blessed day!

The Last Days of Summer – August 26th

20130826-090321.jpg

It’s the last days of summer here, and boy is it hot! Go figure it’s hot and humid the week I move to a new house. Oh well, I will just have to make sure everyone is hydrated…

I captured this beautiful shot this weekend. It’s been so hot and humid here that I have only been able to go out later in the evening. Like I said the last days of summer. Very soon that familiar chill will be in the air, and it will be time to fall back. That ran through my head this morning when I was making hot tea this morning. And then; even scarier, Christmas will be here…

Have a blessed day!
